During the natural gas well production process, associated formation water is often produced. As reservoir pressure gradually declines, gas production decreases. When the gas production falls below the critical liquid carrying capacity of the gas well, the well may experience liquid loading, affecting its normal production.

Foam drainage gas recovery involves injecting a certain proportion of foaming agent into the wellbore. Under the agitation of natural gas flow, the accumulated liquid at the bottom of the wellbore is transformed into a foam-like liquid, thereby reducing the liquid density and lowering the surface tension of formation water. This process aims to lift accumulated liquids from the wellbore. Solid foaming agents require manual injection at the wellhead, which is labor-intensive and costly.
